Hi! I’m Lauren, the maker behind Hey Moon Ceramics. I’ve been making functional studio pottery since my first community studio class in 2007. I worked as a Speech Pathologist for 20 years as I made pots on the side, and finally jumped into ceramics full-time in 2021.

Every vessel I make is wheel-thrown, trimmed, refined, handpainted, fired, glazed, and shipped from my small studio in Austin, Texas.

I also hand-pour small batches of scented candles into handmade ceramic vessels using US grown soy and the finest domestically produced fragrance and essential oils.

I love making pots and I think Hey Moon ceramics reflects my ongoing enthusiasm and curiosity with the process. Opening the glaze kiln to see what’s inside never gets old! I hope to share that enthusiasm with you and your everyday rituals.
